Length: 12.5 km Difficulty: moderately difficult
The trail is 12.5 km long and shows many miscellaneous views of the nature in the surroundings of Frýdek-Místek and the Hukvaldské Hills.
The starting point is in the village of Hukvaldy and leads through the nature preserve Palkovické Hůrky in which the mixed forest vegetation is kept. Several rare and protected yew trees appear in the locality below the Holý Hill. The land has been progressively turning into the area affected by various human activities (agriculture, industrial estates). Another locality Rovňa is a typical demonstration of spruce monocultures made by people. As you descend to the Olešná Reservoir, it´s possible to watch the influence of mushrooms on the environment, especially by the decomposition of old trees and releasing space for new ones.
