A baroque wooden one-aisle church of 1766 originally dedicated to Archangel Michael, now to St. Peter and St. Paul with a quad entrance tower capped with an onion-shaped Baroque metal sheet cupola is built of massive oak logs sheathed with fir deal planks and a shingle roof. The church interior has a flat ceiling. Except for a missing ambit, it belongs to the typical Beskydy religious architecture. The small church can be found in the premises of the local cemetery - carefully maintained with an interesting layout. It has replaced the original wooden church which decayed as a result of floods at the nearby Stonávka River. The church is not regularly used for liturgies. Its function has been taken over by a masonry church in the village built in 1938. |
